Summer of FUN! 🚢 with Stenaline

I recently read an article about how you probably only have 18 summers with your kids before they grow up and move on. With this in mind, making memories has became my top priority for the foreseeable future!

Naturally, when Stena line invited us to come and celebrate the start of their Summer of Fun we jumped at the chance! With an itinerary packed full of fun competitions, games and activities, how could we refuse!!

The day arrived and after a smooth check in we jumped on board the Superfast VII. Adorned in Hawaiian leis, we kick started the day in the Metropolitan bar sipping some coconut mocktails and listening to a live band. The husband was delighted to see the World Cup was being shown on the main Televisions. So at least that was one kid satisfied already. 😂

I have travelled on the Belfast-Cairnryan route many times, usually in Stena plus and usually child free. So I was excited to explore the ship from a mother’s perspective!

We began by filling our bellies because let’s face it…a Fed toddler is a happy toddler. The Taste restaurant did not disappoint! With choices and deals aplenty we satisfied our bellies and set off exploring.

First stop, the Pod lounge where we were welcomed by Happy to the Beach Party! This purpoise sure knows how to throw a party. Inflatable palm trees, deck chairs and a team of entertainment staff kept the kids busy. With some face painting, sand art and playing on the interactive floor! Freddie was hyped up and ready to blow off even more steam. After an Icecream break, Happy suggested stopping into Happy world, we kindly obliged and were not disappointed. Interactive televisions, slides and beach huts, kept Freddie entertained while me and Colin rested. Don’t you get tired watching a toddlers endless energy?

Exhausted watching my little man, my husband suggested rejuvenating in the Pure Nordic spa…YES they have a Spa on board, kitted out with a jacuzzi, massage rooms and even male and female saunas.

I checked out the extensive range of Treatments and decided on a file and polish. Carried out by a super friendly professional therapist it’s easy to forget you are on a Ship…. travelling on the Irish Sea!

We finished up just in time for more exploring outside on the deck! The kids loved looking at the view and we even spotted the captain getting us safely docked back in Belfast port!

We arrived back in Belfast punctually and suitably exhausted from our day! Huge thank you to Stena line for a jam packed day of fun for all the family! Check out when you can book Stena summer of fun days here!

Now to get organising our next trip! It was a THUMBS UP from Freddie!!

Post in collaboration with Stenaline. Opinions and thoughts all my own.
